Insurance
A property insurance can be of great importance during a removal. After all, accidents will happen! Your moveables are invariably covered by a liability insurance, which can be extended to an all-risks insurance.
Board of Arbitration
Should any matter of dispute arise between you and your remover and should you not be able to reach an agreement, you can call in the assistance of the Removals Arbitration Board. It is, however, essential that the remover involved is a member of 'Savam' (a Cooperative Organisation of Removers and Transporters), or a registered member of the Board of Arbitration. For your information all removers selected by Int. Rem. Advice are members of 'Savam' and as such will adhere to the judgements of the Arbitration Board.
All Risks Insurance
It should be noted that the liability insurance only provides a government imposed slight coverage, " which merely regulates the remover's liability. It is therefore essential to ask your Certified Remover about an additional all risks Transport Insurance with wide coverage. The expenses involved usually consist of non-recurring policy expenses and a percentage of the value of the goods you wish to insure.
